Dr. Geiger is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional fellowship training in Sports Medicine. He began his orthopaedic practice in CT in 1994 and serves on staff at Griffin Hospital and has privileges at Bridgeport Hospital, St. Vincent’s Medical Center and The Surgical Center of Connecticut.He has had the honor of serving as the team physician at Southern Connecticut State University from 2002-2019 caring for all scholar athletes and mentoring Athletic Training students.
Dr. Geiger received his B.A. in biology from Boston University where he was also a scholar athlete, serving as the starting quarterback for four years. Following medical school, he completed his internship in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital and his Orthopaedic Residency at the State University of New York at Stonybrook. He continued his passion for treating athletes by completing an intensive Sports Medicine Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital where he also assisted as one of the team physicians for the Boston Celtics Basketball Team.
Dr. Geiger specializes in Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair, Labral Repair, Shoulder Replacement Surgery, ACL reconstruction, Meniscal Repair, Cartilage Replacement Procedures, Total Knee Replacement, Subchondroplasty and non-operative care of sports related injuries.
He currently resides in Westport and enjoys traveling, fishing, oil painting and physical fitness.
